Photography

 Photography became a discipline out in my teens intiially out of pure necessity. As an artist the need for  quality images on my work became apparent. the cost to have a photographer take quality photos was out of my reach, so I borrowed my brother Pentax K1000 and a few rolls of film and started to shoot, learnng as I went along. After I was forced to step back from making pottery due to damage and surgeries done due to carpal tunnel in both hands I began to spend more and more time woreking on my photography skills. I love capturing moments in time that evoking an emotional response. As in my claywork I love texture and movement and capturing them in images can be a time consuming process of patience. In addition to traditional landscapes I enjoy wildlife and toy photography. I also occassionaly do portature but it is not an area that is actively seek to do.
